چکیده

We suggest a generalized Lax pair on a Hermitian symmetric space to generate a new coupled higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation of a dual type which contains both bright and dark soliton equations depending on parameters in the Lax pair. Through the generalized ways of reduction and the scaling transformation for the coupled higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation, two integrable types of higher-order dark soliton equations and their extensions to vector equations are newly derived in addition to the corresponding equations of the known higher-order bright solitons. Analytical discussion on a general scalar solution of the higherorder dark soliton equation is then made in detail.

Collisional Dynamics of Solitons in the Coupled PT Symmetric Nonlocal Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations

We investigate the focussing coupled PT symmetric nonlocal nonlinear Schrödinger equation employing Darboux transformation approach. We find a family of exact solutions including pairs of Bright-Bright, Dark-Dark and Bright-Dark solitons in addition to solitary waves. We show that one can convert bright bound state onto a dark bound state in a two soliton solution by selectively finetuning the ...

Multipole solitary wave solutions of the higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation with quintic non-Kerr terms

We consider a high-order nonlinear Schrödinger (HNLS) equation with thirdand fourth-order dispersions, quintic non-Kerr terms, self steepening, and self-frequency-shift effects. The model applies to the description of ultrashort optical pulse propagation in highly nonlinear media. We propose a complex envelope function ansatz composed of single bright, single dark and the product of bright and ...

Three-Dimensional Bright–Dark Soliton, Bright Soliton Pairs, and Rogue Wave of Coupled Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation with Time–Space Modulation

We systematically provide a similarity transformation reducing the (3 + 1)-dimensional inhomogeneous coupled nonlinear Schrödinger (CNLS) equation with variable coefficients and parabolic potential to the (1 + 1)-dimensional coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation with constant coefficients. Based on the similarity transformation, we discuss the dynamics of the propagation of the three-dimension...

Two-soliton solution for the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation with nonvanishing boundary conditions

An explicit two-soliton solution for the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation with nonvanishing boundary conditions is derived, demonstrating details of interactions between two bright solitons, two dark solitons, as well as one bright soliton and one dark soliton. Shifts of soliton positions due to collisions are analytically obtained, which are irrespective of the bright or dark characte...

General N-Dark–Dark Solitons in the Coupled Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations

N-dark–dark solitons in the integrable coupled NLS equations are derived by the KP-hierarchy reduction method. These solitons exist when nonlinearities are all defocusing, or both focusing and defocusing nonlinearities are mixed. When these solitons collide with each other, energies in both components of the solitons completely transmit through. This behavior contrasts collisions of bright–brig...
